Simple Ways to Save Money, Reduce Waste, and Go Green
A Simple Substitution for Plastic Floss
We’ll be honest: We don’t do a very good job flossing. Every year, our dentist has to remind us to start flossing, but we never pay attention. It’s challenging because floss is only made of thin, non-biodegradable plastic strands, which means that each time we use a piece, we add a permanent piece of trash to the environment.
Thankfully, a fresh approach exists. Simply swap out the floss for bamboo and compost it afterwards! Other bamboo-made household items like cotton swabs and tongue depressors can also help you lessen your environmental impact.
