You’re Not Having to Be Eco if You’re Buying Eco Simple Ways
Reducing unnecessary purchases is crucial to having a zero-waste household. Every time we make a purchase due to the design of the global supply chain, there are global repercussions. Manufacturers in India must replace their inventory, distributors in China must load goods onto boats, Middle Eastern gas and oil suppliers must power those boats, and our nation’s shipping companies must pollute the environment to transport the goods to us. Even though they are currently so 2018, those old Nalgene water bottles are still perfectly acceptable. We already have them, so we’re not really in the market for a replacement because they keep the water cold.
