Weird Colors: Sea Turtle with Leukosis
Although not albino, this sea turtle does not have the same pigmentation as a normal sea turtle. Would Squirtle appear like this if he really existed? Typically, leucitic hatchlings have abnormalities such as deformed flippers, missing eyes, or sadly, even an absent mouth.
However, because the lack of coloration would make it easier to blend into sand or water, it seems likely that it would be less visible to predators. The condition has both pros and cons, but one thing is for sure – they are breathtakingly beautiful.
