Things in Weird Colors That Astounded Us
The world’s only known albino humpback whale
Only four or five albino humpback whales exist, and one of them was photographed. In 1991, the first, called Migaloo, was discovered in Australian waters. His albinism soon attracted the attention of both whale researchers and tourists.
We know there are only four albino humpback whales left in the world because researchers later discovered another off the coast of Norway and Megalo gave birth to two white calves. The calf’s name is MJ, and it often appears on the east coast of Australia.
