You should also involve children and teenagers as they can act as your best barrier against people looking to cause trouble. To prevent theft, place vegetables that people don’t normally enjoy, such as potatoes, kohlrabi, or other root vegetables, near the edge of the garden. It may not be a bad idea to plant raspberries along the fence as they also have thorns.
