Plano Biggest Comedy Event in North Texas
The Plano Comedy Festival will take place October 22-29, 2023. This is the largest comedy festival that can be seen in North Texas. For any of the eight days of the festival, the Plano House of Comedy will host more than one hundred local and national comedians, comedy and improv groups, and other comedy-related performances. Since it first started in 2018, the festival has grown from a weekend celebration to an entire week.
The annual Plano Comedy event
The event start with several weekly tournaments that are held the end of year in United States and Canada . These activities will, in the end, result in a comedy festival known as The Main Event, which will take place in October of this year. At this year’s festival, there are a total of 101 comics who are qualified to perform in The Main Event. A week-long program is available for comedians, comedy club managers, and bookers from the US and Canada, and it features comedy workshops, social events, and opportunities to network with other professionals in the field.
The fifth annual Comedy event
In just five years, the Plano Comedy Festival has become the most attended and comprehensive comedy festival in all of North Texas. This week marks the return of the annual festival, which will feature a schedule that includes 30 shows and 140 different acts, including stand-up comedy, stand-up, improv, sketch, magic, hypnosis, and more.
All performances will take place between October 22nd and October 29th at The Plano House of Comedy, located at The Shops at Legacy, and the North Texas Performing Arts Willow Bend Center of the Arts, located at The Shops at Willow Bend.

There’s even been talk of a brand new attraction that could be built in the highway parking lot, and it would be a giant blackout maze! On October 28 at 5 p.m., investigate the mysteries that lie along 15th Street and see everything the festival has to offer.
The 2023 Plano Comedy Festival is the largest in North Texas, featuring over 100 comedy acts from Netflix, HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime, Amazon, NBC, Fox, and more! The festival will feature stand-up, sketch, improv, magic, a comedy brunch, a roast battle, and a family-friendly show. It will take place October 22-29 at The Plano House of Comedy in The Shops at Legacy.

The festival will feature more than 30 performances (including stand-up, improv, sketch, magic, relaxation and more) by over 140 comedians. There will be a free kid-friendly concert as well as a comedy brunch, roast fight, live podcast, workshops and more.

Plano History
In June 2018, the first edition of the Plano Comedy Festival was held. The intention was to expand people’s knowledge of the fast-risingĀ comedy culture in the area around Plano, Texas, which is known as the “Hot Air Balloon Capital of the World.” We have witnessed remarkable expansion in the size of our crowds at the festival year after year, and our goal for this year is to maintain that trend.
Since the first annual Plano Comedy Festival was held in the city of Plano, there has been an increase in the number of comedy events, open mics, local comedy producers, and nationally touring headliners that stop in the city of Plano. Plano is currently making a bigger splash in the national comedy scene than ever before. And our work has only just begun.
