Google Earth Photo: Skyfall’s One of the Settings

This is a ghost town in Japan called Gunkanjima. Because it was dedicated to coal mining, it used to be the most densely populated region on Earth.

Once the coal ran out, the island city was left in ruins. It was one of the locations for the twenty-third James Bond film, Skyfall, so yes, it was one of those locations.
